Modeled a set of different types of 45 caliber bullets and their casings. Then after setting up proper UVs I created shaders and set up 3D lighting for the scene. The lighting is my focus on this and it isnt just the make pretty button. There are areas where I lit inside casings and other areas that the HDRI, GI, and FG just didnt fully do a good enough job. Im using a lighting file I created myself to allow me to switch or adjust for any type of lighting. So far it covers 1 point lighting, 3 point lighting, Studio lighting, HDRI lighting, and several other special situations.
This is the first of 3 sets made for VFX Mill. But enough of that. I just liked rendering bullets, and how cool is that?! The next one is shot gun shells. Look for it!
